Honeymoon in Honokowai
I have searched the internet and read most of this forum, but have found little information about the Honokowai area. I am currently planning our honeymoon for Oct. 2006 and would like to find a great area that has a nice beach to swim, walk, etc. as well as nice accomidations in a developed area that is not consumed by people or traffic. I have a budget in mind, room should be in the neighborhood of $150-$225. The place I found that appeals to me so fare is Hale Mahina in Honokowai which is located on the Northwest part of the island.
We will be staying for about 14 days (with rental car) and plan to do activities and travel around, but we want a home base that we can relax, walk out to a beach and have some privacy. I really would appreciate any additional information about other areas, but I mainly am interested in learning more about Honokowai (specifically the Hale Mahina). Has anybody had experience there?? Please keep in mind this is a honeymoon with no kids and we are in our mid 20's. Thanks!

The Maui Kai condo, The Mahana condo, The Embassy Suites or the Kahana area. Also check The Nohonani.
There is very little beach in that area.

This is the same company that publishes Maui Revealed.
