I am going to Lahaina for Halloween w/ some chick pilot buddies. We goin' rent one Aztec (6 pax) or perhaps one Chieftain (10 pax) and pack all us tita's up and go fo' Halloween.
Anyone been to Lahaina fo' Halloween? Wot da scoops? I heah one good party time!

well we are leaving TH at 330pm and coming back Friday at 10am and staying god only knows where. I'l be there thogh. (gonna cost about $150 when all is said and done. Yikes...)

Hey Patty- I was in Lahaina halloween '02! I was just over there by chance, alone (crazy story)! I wasn't alone though really. I met lots of new people in Maui that week. A group took me out under thier wings. I had a freaking blast! Only problem is I want to move back. I mean it!! I will be back for next Halloween. Lata- Kirsten

The fact that it is bustling with activity and is a really cool, quaint harbor town. The boat ride out to go watch whales (see my picture), as we were riding out you can see the town of Lahaina on the land and behind it the gorgeous green mountains and then the rainbow!!
Well, this is not something one usually does on a usual basis, so I guess "Off the beaten track" is the closest category.
Lahaina, Maui was the greatest place - very quiet with the whole church nearly to ourselves the whole day.
A travelling couple we didn't even know stopped by and kindly dropped in to watch our ceremony!!!
Walk the Marinia and go Sport Fishing with THE FINEST KIND.

Go swimming
With water temperatures almost in the 80s (F), there's nothing like a swim to cool yourself off while lazing around on the beach.
There are basically two kinds of beaches in Maui - swimming / snorkeling beaches, and surfing beaches - essentially distinguished by the size of the waves.
Swimming beaches are amazingly calm, with clear turquiose waters that are shallow out to some distance from the shore. Go on, go for a swim!
For those of you who have not been to Maui yet, Maui No Ka Oi is Hawaiian for "Maui is the best"! Maui is one of my favorite destinations, I've been coming here longer than I can remember! I spend so much time in Maui, I'd like to consider it my second home.
