More about Marriott's Maui Ocean Club
The oceanview rooms were huge and beautifully appointed with a sitting room. It was so close to the ocean! The pool was large and had cascading waterfalls and the staff was friendly. The restaurants had terrific food and fabulous service.
Stay in style when visiting Paradise
The Maui Marriott Resort offered exceptional accommodations with all the pleasures of being at an amazing location. Granted, the cost is phenomenal when you stay here but the price is worth it. If you can get a room with a deluxe ocean view then you are in for something special. We stayed in room 9118 and the view from the balcony was unparalleled. We had a gorgeous view of Lana'i, Kaho'olawe, and most amazingly we could see many whales from our high vantage point. They seemed to appear on cue. Of course you can only see this during the whale season (Jan-April is prime).
The hotel has 590 rooms, 4 lighted tennis courts, pool, 3 jacuzzis, lu'au, room service, valet parking, 3 restaurants. Half of the rooms are timeshares here, but the plan is to eventually convert all of them.
Oh, and what a pool area. It's designed to be a playground, both for kids and adults. Kids have a tiny pirate ship with water squirting all over, all ensconced on a bed of sand. (A hit with those under 8 years old.)
Adults will enjoy the numerous swim-under waterfalls and the interconnected pools. There is also an impressive water slide for those daring enough to try (it's not that scary!).
The pool is the star of the resort as is the beach which, though not as nice as their northern neighbors, is nonetheless on Ka'anapali Beach and quite beautiful. -The view is breathtaking..
-The pool is immense and quite beautiful.
-Parking is not included but available.
-The hotel offers 3 restaurants, 2 of which are really good.
-There are a myriad of small shops.
-There are various jacuzzis located in the pool area.
-They always had warm towels at the poolside (it gets windy in Maui).
-There's a bar at the pool.
Italian Beachside Grill
Va Bene is also part of the Marriott Maui Resort. It offers great food with a sea level view of the beach. It was great to hear the ocean so vividly while dining on scrumptuous food. Great Italian food and great service. I tried the Seafood Pasta and it was divine! The seafood was fresh and very tasty. Elisabeth tried the Risotto and she was satisified with it. Their sorbet was magnificent.

5-star Sushi on Maui's Amazing Beach!
What better way to compliment a restaurant then to say, "Amazing!" My wife and I love Japanese food and this place has set a standard for every Sushi place we go. Set aside the oceanfront surroundings, and the relaxing ambience, the food and drinks were out of this world. It was mostly Hawaiian-style sushi creations and cocktails, complemented by stunning views and evening entertainment. It was so good we had to visit this place twice. We just couldn't get enough of their food. Plus, the location was ideal for us considering we stayed at the Maui Marriott. Please note, that it is part of the hotel. My favorite dish was the Wind Mill. A Sushi Roll consisting of delicate snow crab, avocado and maui onions. It was to die for!
Other great dishes:
Crab Pot Stickers
Pina Coladas (best we had during out stay!)
What a beautiful property!
We (myself, wife and 4 year old daughter) spent 5-7 through 5-14 at the Marriott Maui Ocean Club. This place is simply incredible. The people from the front desk to the housekeeping staff were VERY friendly. The grounds are beautiful and the pool area was awesome! The pool area is RIGHT NEXT to the beach. We have absolutely no complaints and honestly feel we picked the best location in Lahaina. The Whaler's Village shopping area is about a 10 minute walk and you walk by other properties that just didn't look as nice.
Upgrade your room to include breakfast. We are from Vegas (king of good food), and this stuff was right up there in terms of quality and selection (eggs benedict, fresh fish selections, lox & bagels, DELICIOUS french toast, etc. etc.)
As the area is humid, we asked and received a fan for the room to help circulate the air and it made it perfect as we are not used to humidity.
The views from this place are incredible, the location unbeatable, and we will DEFINITELY return.

Feel the Aloha!
Our family enjoyed spring break at this relaxing resort. We chose to stay here because the Marriott Maui Ocean Club has a variety of activities available to suit the needs of both adults and young children. The resort is gorgeous with its outdoor lobby and sweeping ocean views. All staff from the bellmen who loaded our Jeep, to the front desk staff who accommodated us with an ocean view room, to the housekeeping staff who kept the room meticulously clean, to the wait staff who were friendly and professional made our stay most pleasant. Our daughter, age 6, participated in the "Kids' Kamp" activities where she learned to hula, make flower leis, and spent one entire day doing nature related activities. She also learned to surf! Be sure to ask for Scottie who is a certified Hawaiian lifeguard and a real pro! There were many other children's activities available for free or for a reasonable price. NOTE: be sure to sign-up early!!! The facilities were well mainatained, and the pool area is spectacular, especially compared to other pools in the Kaanapali area. The beach which is located steps from the pool is especially nice in the spring but tends to wash away with the summer swells. The boardwalk is a great place to walk or jog along the ocean. Follow the board walk to the end, and you will find a good, protected snorkeling spot next to black rock. If you have little ones, consider renting a boogie board with a built-in viewer for $6 at the beach activities shack. Our room had an unbelievable view of the pool area and ocean where we could actually see whales breeching from our balcony. The room itself was roomy and extemely clean. We utilized both the restaurants and room service. The breakfast buffet was delicious, and the view was unbeatable. I could go on and on, but to sum it up, our experience at this resort was just perfect!
Heaven On Earth!
The Maui Marriott Ocean Club is really Heaven on Earth! I have been there for ten consecutive years and I plan to go there every year I can for the rest of my life. The property is absolutely gorgeous with a spectacular beach with the view of Lanai and Molokai in the distance. If you are there at the right time of the year you can even see whales migrating. The pool is also amazing! It has a fun slide for the kids (hey, adults too!) waterfalls, and wonderful lounge side service so you can sip your tropical drink while lazily basking in the golden Hawaiian sun. The location of the resort is perfect, it is just a very short walk to Whaler's Village to shop and eat and a short drive to the town Lahaina for some more shopping and dining. Marriott has its own activity desk for surfing lessons, scuba diving, snorking, basically you name it they have it. THe hotel also has wonderful restaraunts right on site. THe room are also very comforable. My husband and I own a timeshare on Maui and the timeshares are to die for but we have also stayed in the hotel side and been extremely pleased. If you could only go to Hawaii one time in your life, do it the right way and stay at the Maui Marriott Ocean Club and you will really find a bit of Heaven on Earth!!!!!
The perfect family getaway in paradise
We stayed at the Maui Marriott from March 18 - March 27. It was our second visit to this property and it lived up to our expectations both times. We have two kids 11 and 13 and they lived at the beautiful pool and boogie boarding on Kaanapali Beach. We stayed in an ocean view hotel room, one of the few left as the hotel is turning into a complete timeshare property. The room was clean and fairly spacious and the view was amazing. During whale season (January - April) it is definately worth it to pay extra for the ocean view. It provides the opportunity to sit on the lanai and watch the whales jumping. hint: bring binoculars. We had a dream vacation and will definately be returning to this Marriott property!
We just spent a wonderful week for our 25th anniversary at the Maui Marriott Ocean Club. We did not encounter one problem while we were there. The service was great and the facilities are beautiful. I was worried about past reviews of the pressure you can recieve from the time shareprogram they offer. We only had 2 voice mails on our hotel room phone and we just didn't respond to them so we were not hassled. The pool was great and beautiful and the pool side service was great . We always felt safe and well cared for. I would reccomend this place to anyone and would go again. The work out room is great along with the landry facilities.
The beach path that runs along this area is great for sightseeing , restaurants and exercise. We saw some spectacular sunsets from this area. The beach is a little rocky but you can get wet on the calm days.
