Best deal on Maui

by A TripAdvisor Member

We stayed in room 215 from Sept. 20th to the 27th.
Although that room is not right on the beach, you can still see the ocean and Molokai, along with the beautiful foliage. The beach is only a 30 second walk from that room. The beach is probably one of the most beautiful beaches that I've ever seen. We only paid $90 a night and the security deposit that is charged, was returned, in full, in just a matter of a few days. The room was a little warm, but if you open the shutters, the breeze will blow through along with the help of a ceiling fan. There is a little shopping center near-by. You are in a local neighborhood, but in an area loaded with condos. Our beach was the only spot that had a shade tree to escape the afternoon sun. If your looking for night-life or resort type living, forget it. Kaanapali and Whaler's Village is only a 10 minute drive, and Lahaina 15, so if you want, there's lots to do, not far away. There are a couple of snorkel rental places near-by, one within walking distance.
So, for the price, it's unbelievable. If your looking to do nothing but relax, you're here. You can book things to do at a concierge at the Napili Kai, just up the road. I'm not rich, but will be able to return to Maui. The best deal on a beautiful beach. Try the restaurant at the Napili Kai and the Gazebo, if you can find it. Go to the web site. The photos and videos are accurate. Thanks Chuck

Lets get real about this place

Who's kidding who here...these read like comments written by the unit owners! We were recently here and yes one of the buildings is right on the beach.

Beware - if you have a beachfront unit everyone on the beach can look into your unit (kind of creepy), day or night unless you close the windows and curtains. If you do that you may as well be in Iowa for all you can see. The beaches are all public in Hawaii - anyone can be anywhere at anytime of day or night and you cannot stop them. We did not appreciate the noisy kids, dogs and families yelling at each other during the days or the loud partys that took place late into the night a few times. Units are pretty small (they are studios) and there are many that are not even near the beach. Think twice. We will not return.

Best Thing About Our 2-week Trip!

by TripAdvisor Member MissJenL

After reading all the glowing reviews about this simple place on the bay, I could not believe it could all be true. Well, believe it. This October 23-27, my husband and I stayed for 5 nights at unit # 207, owned by Vi, and managed by Aloha Condos (kudos to Chuck Buser). We arrived at night and only could marvel at the unit itself: super-clean; fresh new appliances; all modern conveniences including DVD player and portable CD/radio; a "welcome" basket from owner Vi, filled with fresh fruit, chips, cookies and tote bag (we were celebrating an anniversary/2nd honeymoon too); and decorated with that cool tropical, palm-tree motif. We were thrilled. Then morning came, and also came the view from that lanai--truly to die for. Napili Bay is scenic, serene, clean, colorful and festive. The folks that frequented the beach were mellow, respectful and happy. At dusk the sun would give us all a sunset light-show and the nearby Napili Kai resort would light their torches and their green lights on the rocky point. We felt we had the best of both worlds: a kitchen with coffee maker and blender AND a nice restaurant (Sea House at Napili Kai) within walking distance. We grilled several times at the covered barbeque area and I was able to freshen up our clothes at their laundry room. On this same trip, we ended up on Kauai in another condo/studio and only wished that it could have been as nice as Napili Bay resort. Trust me on this one folks: you will not be disappointed. We also stayed at the Hyatt (Maui & Kauai) and at Princeville Resort (for 1 night to end our vacation) and Napili Bay Resort stood up proud next to these heavyweight contenders! We loved our sweet Napili Bay haven and would stay there again in a New York minute.

Big Fun at Napili Bay -- AlohaCondos Rules!!

by A TripAdvisor Member

We had big fun at Napili Bay and on Maui! This was our third island on a three island tour of Hawaii (Oahu, Hawaii (Big Island) and Maui). Napili Bay was a perfect "last stop"! Our efficency condo, Unit 216 was perfect -- was supplied with everything we needed, towels, boogie boards, snorkle gear, full kitchen, etc. We rented through AlohaCondos -- direct to owners of condos. Professional, prompt and excellent service was provided! We would recommend. As fas a Napili Bay -- the perfect beach, A view of Moloki, Lani, great snorkeling, swimming and close to dinning, shopping, activites, etc. Paridise in a nutshell! A perfect Hawaii Vacation..Thanks AlohaCondos! We would use your services again in a heartbeat!

Nice

Paid 169 for one of the second floor beach front in earliest December. Amazing beach and bay and you are right on it. Unit was kind of dingy, which I pretty much expected. The dishes, beyond the first few, were dirty--needed a good spring cleaning. Didn't see any bugs, pretty remarkable for the tropics. Was quiet pretty much always and felt very safe. Yes people come and use the beach but they are all having fun and certainly nobody made a fool of themself while I was there. A very nice experience. Overrated for the price but a good experience.

Appreciated by a friendly welcome

by A TripAdvisor Member

Arriving in the middle of the night after a long, tiring travel time of 30 hours it was a very good feeling finding the lovely welcome basket.
The Studio was clean and a pleasure to keep it like we met it.
The place was or is close to everything like beach, shopping, excursions except the airport.
We liked the place and can reccommand it any time.

Great honeymoon spot

by TripAdvisor Member SweetnDandy

Loved our stay at the Napili Bay. We stayed away from the family parks because we wanted something quiet and private for our honeymoon. We were delighted to see the view of the ocean off the lanai of condo 206. Napili bay is a breathtaking cove and the condo is located on the prime spot of the bay. There is a mini-market within walking distance. The snorkeling right outside the hotel is great. We saw tons of fish and swam with huge water turtles. The only down side was that there was no swimming pool. Also, because of XMAS break, there were a lot of kids on the beach (as early as 6:15)

WOW! This is what Hawaii is all about!!

If you are looking for the Hawaii of your dreams..beautiful beach, palm trees...trade winds blowing through plantation shutters in your room, a clean and well furnished studio in a fanstastic location than this is where you want to stay. We live in Las Vegas and did not want anything that resembled the concrete jungle we were trying to escape. We went for our 15th wedding anniversary and we were extremely pleased. Napili bay has to be one of the most beautiful beaches in Maui. We liked it better than the "upscale" Kapalua which was the next beach over. We happened to meet the owner, Deanna, and she was so gracious. As were the individuals that were part of our reservation process. There were plenty of towels to use, beach chairs, boogie boards...it was great. We had a full kitchen, so we chose to have breakfast in a few times. There is mini mall about a mile or so up the road and a great coffee house for those of you that like your "Starbucks". Sitting on the lanai in the evening listening to the ocean tide roll in and out was so romantic. The bird song was beautiful in the morning. What we really liked is that no building on this beach was more then 2 stories high. If you want a concrete jungle, come to Vegas or go to Oahu. We will definately be back!!!!!!! You guys and Maui are the best!

Will be coming back to Napili Bay #116

by A TripAdvisor Member

Napili Bay is one of the nicest beaches on west maui, and right in front of your window!! Only a short walk to other gorgeous beaches and resorts as well as a nice market and a few restaurants. Unit #116 was precious- modest but well equipped with everything from boogie-boards to dvd's to blenders to good pots and pans. The unit faces the garden which affords much privacy yet has an ocean view from the lanai--- come check it out for yourselves- you'll want to go back!!

Napili Bay is the best!

by TripAdvisor Member jennybh

What a beach! Beautiful little condo room-comfortable, well furnished! There are bigger units available elsewhere, but none so close to the beach. We loved the laid-back, quiet, old fashioned feeling of this resort. Nothing on Napili Bay Beach can be taller than a coconut tree, so all of the resorts are low rise, which we loved. In West Maui Kahana and Kaanapali cannot compare, in my opinion. Too congested and touristy. Kapalua is too high-brow and pricey (although you can walk to Kapalua Bay Beach from Napili Bay-GREAT kid beach-smaller waves than Napili-and great winter snorkeling-many of the usual Maui snorkeling spots get too rough in the winter.) The Gazebo at the Napili Point next door has wonderful breakfasts with a to die for view. The Ocean House down the beach has great food, but expensive. A great place for a romantic sunset dinner.
We booked our Napili Bay unit stay directly with the owner of the unit. As they are individually owned, quality of units varies-ours had been recently renovated and was very well maintained. Yay, Napili Bay!
