Have breakfast at the Waikiki Sheraton, outside, to watch the ocean. Do not do the buffet, only because, you'll be inside. Make your plans for the day, sip Kona coffee and prepare yourself for paradise. Listen to all the languages around you, start soaking in Honolulu in all its cosmopolitan splendor. Walking on Waikiki Beach at sunset, our first day. There we were, wading in the warmest water, west of our own bathtub. Seeing Diamond Head in the distance, listening to the music of the islands slowly sift into our mainland ears. Slow waves, taking the last surfers into shore, the blue sky darkening, lit by tropical stars. The hotels lighting up, excitement growing, and we are really there.

Here is a picture of one of the parties (luau) that I was at in Honolulu. All that is required is that you relax (hang loose) and have a good time. 'Hang Loose' is a phrase used everywhere over there. It means to relax, take it easy.
