Kinda small...

I stayed here in August of 2004. Last i heard they were gonna tear this place down and build something better. But just in case its still there, here is some info on it. The location is kinda cool. I mean its not right on the beach but its off Lewers which is off of Kalakaua towards the beach maybe a short 2 blocks from the sand. Lewers is cool, cuz its a busy street during the day and night. There are a few small bars here, and people walking around always looking for a party. Anyway the room they gave me was on the penthouse level which was cool. It was also a corner room, so my balcony wrapped around the building which was really nice. I had a great view from it(see pic) However my room was really small. really really small. But i only used it to sleep and shower so it wasnt a big deal. The staff was very courteous and very helpful.. The elevators were a little slow.

Unique Quality: The Bar downstairs is right next to the pool. It didnt get too crowded, but there would be a handful of people there each night. I dont remember his name but the manager of the bar was really cool. Seemed like he knew everyone there. He even gave me a ride to the store one night, cuz he thought it would be a waste to take a cab. To me this just summed up the spirit of Hawaii and showed how friendly the locals can be..
