Generation X and Y Hawaii
College kids and young twenty somethings: hit Puck's Alley for Magoo's (pizza and huge beer selection), Anna Banana's, East side Grill etc. Royal Garden Waikiki turns into a nightclub on Saturday's after 10:30PM.
20's - 30's : W Hotel on Friday, Ocean's on Saturday (Pirahna room end of the month), Mai Tai's for casual drinks, O Lounge, Hanohano Room every third Saturday is the newest hot spot, Indigo's, Dave and Buster's
For tourists wanting the Waikiki experience, just walk from Hotel to hotel on Kalakaua, Tiki's for drinks, Duke's Canoe Club for beachside bar.
No matter what, pick up a Honolulu Weekly newspaper and most of these venues and more will be listed.
Gay Hawaii; Hula's, Venus and Fusion's also very hetero friendly All GUYS: wear a collared shirt and pants just in case! Some places in Hawaii can have the girls half naked but the guys have to wear some sort of collared shirt. My friend wore an Armani V-Neck sweater and was denied access next to the guy wearing his dad's golf shirt. So, it's a strange dress code but just accept it! Girls in Hawaii dress to impress and some look like they walked straight out of the magazines. Even though it's tropical, remember we have all the big name retail shops like Gucci, Armani, Versace so fashion is still a must for a lot of nightclubs. Bars are a different story, baseball hat, shorts, tshirt and slippahs!
