We were in Boise to cover a mountain bike race/demo that got rained out and we subsequently spent most of the weekend holed up in our hotel room or wandering Boise's many fun bars. The experience was surprisingly awesome primarily due to the staff and the room. The Hampton's customer service is some of the best I've ever had in any industry anywhere--courteous, friendly, professional, attentive. The front desk gave us great tips for good restaurants and bars, and every time we passed an employee in the hall or on the elevator--from the houskeepers to the management--they always asked how our stay was and if they could do anything to make it better. The rooms were loaded with useful chill out amenities (wide flat-screen TV, super-fast wireless, most comfortable hotel bed maybe ever).
It's not as flashy as some of the other downtown hotels but, if you care about customer service--it's probably the best.
