Travel Tips for Boise
The big time here in Boise.

Yes, we get the Utah Jazz preseason games here sometimes, it really excites me to no end, the Jazz, with Matt Harpring and that ultra thin Kirilinko, that is the best.
Thank you, Larry Miller, you car salesman extraordinaire. Beer, lots of beer.

For the week's events: Grab a copy of the BOISE WEEKLY anywhere in town. You'll find current listings for movies/ nightlife/dining along with random articles on a varietal of topics.
Newest issues are delivered to stands on Wednesdays and are FREE.
BOISE WEEKLY is the more diverse and independent of the weekly papers in the city, THRIVE is also available though not as highly recommended.
Anne Frank Human Rights Memorial

Boise has had its share of intolerance to chinese, blacks, and gays, and so it is refreshing to see a local effort to educate the next generation about the importance of human rights and tolerance. The Ann Frank Human Rights Memorial is an outdoor exhibit of photographs, audio narration, and famous quotes all on the subject of tolerance and human rights. The exhibit is free and funded by the Idaho Human Rights Education Center. The location at the foot of 8th street near the Boise River, between the two capitol bridges, is ideal. The combination of the hands-on exhibit with the naturalistic style pools and fountain falls is really great.

How I love Boise. Had I a choice of where I would live, if not the beach, it would be in Boise. My mom was born there, and as kids we would go every summer, sometimes for Thanksgiving. I would take walks around where my grandparents lived. Most of my good childhood memories are of Boise. Walking to the Capital Building, going to the Railto Theatre, swimming in Lowell Pool; Ann Morrison Park, Julia Davis Park. The irrigation ditches whih ran thru people's backyards. Close by is Idaho City, Payette Lake; there are many places to visit. I love them all. Boise is a wonderful place to visit or to live.
