Boulder lake!
My all time favorite thing to do while in McCall is to ski! And with Brundage Mountain Ski Resort only 10 minutes from the heart of downtown McCall you have no excuse not to try out the slopes! This is my best friend and I having a great time enjoying a day at the mountain!
Don't miss the local shopping..there are several great little places featuring Idaho Artisans. A wonderful yarn and needlework shop features locally made one-of-a-kind clothing! A terrific gift shop with a charming jewelry shop right next door. This shopping mecca is located on E.Lake Street in McCall right next door to one of the oldest markets in the area, 'Pauls Market' where you can find pretty much anything you might need for camping, picnicing, or just trying their terrific deli and bakery. They even have a drygoods section with great clothing at reasonable prices.
McCall is a great place to visit for you next vacation. We have wonderful skiing, the best snow around on Brundage Mountain. In the summer you can play on the water on Payette Lake or run the rivers, with three great rivers close to McCall for day or overnight trips.
The People are great here and we would like more people to visit. We are still very affordable for your vacation needs, with campgrounds right in town to high end homes on the Lake that you can rent for the week.
Bergdorf Hot springs..frequented by gold miners in the 1860s and '70s. Found deep in the Payette National forest about 45 miles north of McCall..perfect cabins for the 'rustic' traveler,no electricity but each has a wood burning stove.
There are two pools, with water intering the sandy-bottomed springs at 112 degrees and flowing into the main pool at 104 degrees. Not actually being a 'town', and an unimproved road scares some away, but it is worth the drive if this is your type of getaway. During the winter months access is by cross country skis or by snowmobile.
