Elk
by jgemini65
McCall is a very rural local. Consequently, life is a bit more rugged and rough. There is an abundance of wildlife and just a more remote existance!
These elk are a yearly norm in these West central mountains when they come out of the even higher elevations to graze!
Great old homstead out buildings!
by jgemini65
There are so many great old out buildings allover the Pacific Northwest and McCall, Idaho is no exception! There are just so many side roads one caan take in this area of the country...and never know what you may find! This out building is part of a larger piece of property where we attended an auction a few weeks ago...where I scored an old collection of travel slides and projectors! *Note the great old wood wind charger on the roof!

"A summer home retreat."
Mccall, Idaho is situated along the Payette lake in central Idaho 103 miles north of Boise, it's population is about 2300, bt can swell to over 10,000 in the summer months, when everybody gets out of Boise to escape the heat.
It has a small town atmosphere probably because it is a small town.
"Payette lake."
This is a favorite for people who like to live in a town by a lake, such as Mccall.
There are plenty of activities to do here like water skiing and whale watching.

"The wind is my dryer!!!"
Since moving to Idaho from Northern California my life has been a bit different! Mountain life is wayyyyyyyy different from the laid back coast of Humboldt county!! But change is good and it is good to experience new ways of life! And I love my newly painted red clothesline!!!
"Boulder Lake"
Boulder lake is another beautiful lake! Really...there is just one great lake after another up here! However, at this lake you can actually see the trout jumping out of the lake to catch the flies! Amazing! We swam in this lake and paddled around in our little boat!
"The Poppies bloomed!"
I had almost given up on my poppies blooming! I had planted to lake for the mountain climate and I have three very devilish cats that we adopted from the shelter that tend to give every plant a run for its money!!! But here it is...a single red poppie!
