My favorite thing about Meridian would have to be going in to the Fred Meyer store to look at televisions, dvd players, cds, and go grocery shopping there also. I was at east 1st street a year ago and drove by the chevron and they had a fuel sale.
So, I proceded so pull in and fill my tank with discounted gas. It was a great day! By the way, east 1st is now known as main street.

Phoenix north

Most people in the rest of the united states think that the Meridian area is fairly cool in the summertime and that we get tons of snow in the wintertime, but since we have the nuclear winter or inversion in the wintertime, we lack snow.
In the summertime though, we can see temperatures as high as 110 here, just in july we saw that temperature twice and had over 100 degrees 18 days in the last three weeks. August hasn't even really started yet and that is usually the hot month, but we have been actually beating phoenix for a hotter temperature in the last two weeks,but it doesn't stay warm in the wintertime here. Taking I-84 west to canada to get away from the 108 degrees.

Trying to move away.

After most people move here, they try to move away and sometimes it takes a while.
It costs a lot of money to move away and wages are low here, so it can take several months or years to save enough to leave.
So, until the move happens, you can see meridianites going to the pharmacy to get anti-depressants to help live here.

Sugar beet heaven.

I am not sure you can visit this place, but you can sure drive by and see one of the great attractions to this thriving area.
This plant is known for it's great sugar beets and that sweet smell that infiltrates the metro Boise area.
Be sure to roll your window down and get a whiff of that Nampa air as you drive through!

A great place to raise a family.

"Everybody should visit our nice little community."

Meridian, it's a nice family town with a low crime rate and friendly neighbors to help out when needed.
After moving here from Anaheim, California, fourteen years ago, I have really enjoyed the peace and serenity and the positive attitudes here.
Everyone should visit and enjoy this place, it's so nice here...
