What hotels are closest to the Paramount? And, what are the 2 or 3 restaurants (not chains or Ruth's Chris) you would say someone would not want to miss while in the Aurora area? We really like restaurants that locals frequent - excellent food, good service, and reasonable prices. We will be in the area around October 28-9, 2009. Any other info would be appreciated.
I eat in a lot of the suburbs but Aurora is not one of them. You might check some of the local online resources that concentrate on food and reviews

Naperville is not too far from Aurora and there are a lot of good restaurants in Naperville. The only one that I've eaten at is Meson Sabika, a Spanish tapas restaurant which has a lovely outdoor patio and good food. There are suburban branches of many well known Chicago restaurants-Hugo's Frog Bar, Morton's, Catch 35, Sullivan's Steakhouse to name a few. Most of those are going to be $$$$, if you want something good but in the cheap category, I notice they also have a branch of Joy Yee's (Asian), Heaven on Seven (Cajun) and Portillo's (Chicago dogs and Italian beef). Don't be put off by the fact that they are multiple location restaurants, usually the quality is high at each location and with the exception of Morton's, I don't think any of them are outside the Chicagoland area.
Try having a look at www.Opentable.com at the west suburbs of Chicago which has listings for a lot of the popular restaurants in that area and then you can go back and look at one of the other resources I gave you to find one that is close to what you are looking for.

Just an hour outside of Chicago and a few hours drive to the beautiful lakefront of Milwaukee, Wi, Aurora is suburban metropolis with residential development popping up everywhere. Aurora's claim to fame of being home to Wayne and Garth of Wayne's world, the Hollywood Casino Riverboat, Walter Payton's Roundhouse Brewery, and a huge melting pot of culture caucasian, african american, latino/ hispanic, asian, and many other cultures.
