If you mean Illinois it is a University town. There will be lots of distractions even in summer.
If you mean France, take tours of the vinyards and enjoy the great food.

Visit the University of Illonois campus. The university is the town. It is a huge university so there are tons of bars, restaurants and plenty to do. They have a great bookstore for university spirit items. This is only one portion of the campus.
I did my undergraduate studies in the University of Illinois, Urbana-Champaign, so I spent 4 years in this little town of 100,000 from high school to college graduation. Situated in a rich agricultural region of the midwest on a featureless flat plain, this little university town is surprisingly sophisticated and diverse, considering the population of the surrounding area are primarily devout Methodist Christians. A majority of the college students are from metropolitan Chicago, and the university's acclaimed graduate research programs are contributing factors.
