Chinese Consulate by cybertraveler14
If you are going to visit the Chinese Consulate to apply for your Visa, make sure you leave plenty of time. It took well over an hour for our number to be called and for us to get to the counter to turn in our completed forms/passports/fee. They do offer mail back service for an additional $5 (if you provide the postage paid envelope with a tracking number) which is worth the cost. If parking at the nearby parking garage, be sure and get your ticket validated at the security desk in the lobby on your way out. This involves getting another machine readable ticket you put in the machine at the parking garage after you insert your parking ticket stub. For us, it decreased the price of parking from $24 to $13.
