As a guest who stayed here, I can truly say that each and every negative comment you will ever read is true. The Staff, Mainly Anna the "Morning Supervisor" (Commonly referred to as the "Lady with the Black Hair") is the rudest and most unprofessional person in the whole place, only second to her Boyfriend Alex, yes I said Her Boyfriend are true a-holes.

I want to say, I'm in no way a racist, but this place is clearly setup like so.

First, 97% are Latinos, which is nothing wrong, but the way they treat the housekeeping (Mexicans) is ridiculous. They pay them $2 per room and doesn't have a decent vacuum in the whole place. The Front Desk are Puerto Ricans, and are all family. Anna and Alex in some ways run the place.

Mary the "Gen Manager" (One of only 2 Caucasians to work here, the other is a driver whose name is Dominic) is a poor excuse for a manager who have been there for over 25 years. She drives a new White Cadillac Traffic and Takes Frequent Trips as she pockets money by raising the rates when she feels the need.

Again, I'm saying this to prove to everyone that reads this that what I'm saying is true. This is on no way slander but the truth.

She is truly a woman pass her prime still trying to pretend she has it. My reason for saying that is, she cares more about how she looks than the treatment of paying guests. Instead of hiring people that will not only come to work and treat customers with respect, and one would know as the General Manager of the Hotel for this long, reads the comments on any site you go to its almost all negative.

She keeps them around. So Why doesn't she just fired and rehire? Because Anna has to much on her that would close this place down. Yes, and the fact that she can just up and go when she wants. Almost everybody else has been fired from the place, accept the 2 worst people Anna and Alex.

Don't believe me or the thousands of other comments Go to this link http://www.bbb.org/chicago/business-reviews/hotels/chicago-ohare-garden-hotel-in-chicago-il-88360373 It's the Chicago Better Business Bureau, here is a summary.

    Reason for Rating (F)
BBB rating is based on 16 factors.

Factors that lowered Chicago O'Hare Garden Hotel's rating include:

Failure to respond to 2 complaints filed against business.

BBB does not have sufficient information to determine how long this business has been operating.

BBB made two or more requests for background information from the business. BBB has not received a response from this business and/or has not been able to verify information received from this business.

BBB does not have sufficient background information on this business. BBB made two or more requests for background information from the business. BBB has not received a response from this business and/or has not been able to verify information received from this business.

They don't even have a Business Licence to run this place.

Mr. Curtis the only African American person that works there and has been for 25 years. He is the morning drivers and by far along with Dominic are the most honest and respected people in the whole place.

They keep it straight, no frills and tell it like it is. As for the Website, Pictures and Amenies, they are ALL LIES! There is no and has not been a restaurant "Bistro" here in over 5 years, the fitness room is outdated and unkempt. WiFi only works in the lobby, ATM that doesn't work, 4 Ice machines, only 1-2 works, Water Pressure weak and Pray for hot water.

The truth about the Breakfast is, they used to serve mini donuts, but they changed to the Little Debbie Swiss Rolls because of the roaches that were crawling on the Donuts that is kept in the refrigeration where the restaurant used to be and set out in the open in the morning.

So to combat this issue they started with the sealed products. The shuttle service is ok, depending on who is behind the front desk, they have no format to how they run the shuttle, Example, you call and say, "When does the next shuttle leaves or I need a pick up from xyz" they give you some random time and some times "Chirps" the Driver.

Plenty of times customers has been left waiting for hours and they use the shuttle for there own personal taxi service some "Evening" drivers to take you here or there for a fee.

The rooms are horrible, there is literally 2-4 rooms on the front floor that are worth staying in. The use the rooms closest to the office for the bathroom and or when staff "Anna,Alex and there Baby" stays. Those rooms never get booked.

The elevator has its issues and the phone barely works which cause problems when trying to activate the key-cards. Rain is the only water that's in the pool and is left uncovered. The second floor is the worse place to be and the first floor area by the pool. Bathrooms are dirty.

I hope that this helps people in making a decision to stay here. The funny thing is, if they would put some serious money in this place, Fire 98% including the General Manager, and if the Owner could sell, because he has tried and no one wants it, this will be a great place.

P.S. It is a fact that Anna and Mary write the good reviews you may read on various sites. So please believe none.

Unique Quality: It's close to Dominick's, CTA Blue Line and O'hare Airport. False Advertisement, Drugs and Prostitution, Roaches, Bedbugs, Ants, Broken AC, Fire Alarm, Foul Smelling Hallways and Deterioration All true. Nothing about this Hotel itself.

  • I AM AN HONEST EMPLOYEE!!! MUST READ!!

    by

DO NOT STAY HERE!!!! I am an EMPLOYEE at this hotel and I cannot begin to explain all of the disgusting things I have seen in this hotel (if you want to call it that.) First of all, the rooms, carpet, and beds are atroscious and the smell OMG!!!! I swear a nursing home smells ten times better than this piece of *** hotel does. The internet does not work, there is always something going on with the cheap router. There is no breakfast, no fridges or microwaves in the rooms, no tennis court, the pool and Bistro 90 restaurant heve been closed for years now, no tennis court, the phones don't work,no sauna, no bally's guest pass, housekeeping sucks BADa dn etcc...The WEBSITE is a LIIIEEEE!!!! PLEASE DO NOT STAY HERE for your own good !!! Pay the hundred dollars and go to a more stable hotel. Also, this hotel is owned by a CHEAP ASS OWNER who doesn't want to spend money on remodeling the ***ing place and we as employees have to hear the complaints from the guests while hes cruising down Lake Shore Drive in his Mercedes..He does not know how to run a business AT ALL....He owes lots of money to ComEd and 7/11...Housekeepers only gets paid $2 per room they clean..What the *** is that???How is this hotel still in business?? I have no idea..If anyone is interested in shutting this place down and have the power to do so, please leave me a message and I will disclose everything. We as Americans should stand up for each other and obliterate all that is not appropriate..Please contact me if you want more details...

    Unique Quality: Absolutely nothing!!!!

  • BEWARE OF THIS HOTEL AND PARKING LOT

    by

This is a horribel hotel. Dark, dirty and we did not feel safe. Also our car had the spare tire and rim stolen from the parking lot. Stay as far from this location as possible. Seems like a lot of theft going on at this location.

    Unique Quality: Old and Dirty
