Super 8 Chicago

Standard hotel, but cheaper than staying downtown where everything is so expensive! The hotel is near Broadway, which has a lot of shops, restaurants, bars, etc. It's relatively close to the popular Green Mill jazz club as well. Breakfast hours are short though (we showed up too late!). We'd stay here again.

Directions: North of downtown

This Hotel is located outside of the city in the suburb of Glen Ellyn, we really wanted to make this visit to Chicago as economical as possible. We ended up booking our hotel through Hotels.ca and it was a great deal. We spent approximately $50 US per night. For anyone booking hotels in the Chicago area you by now likely realize that the prices are quite high! We decided to spend less on our hotel so we could enjoy other things in the city. As well, because we had a car, it was easy to access the city from our hotel. The ride into the city was about half and hour with traffic.

Unique Quality: This Super 8 is in need of an upgrade, at first glance it does appear a bit run down. However, the room was big and clean, the continental breakfast in the morning was like any other and the wifi for internet connection in the room was a great feature! There is also a pool, go figure!
The price is unbeatable, it was safe and clean even though a bit run down.
