Rake Leaves in the Fall
by riorich55
Here it is November again in Chicago and all those trees we planted when we build our home here in 1987 have now grown up and keep us physically active each fall when they start dropping their leaves after a full summer's worth of shading. 3 times during the season the City of Naperville comes by to sweep them up, so you try to get as many to the curbside before they come by. The pictures on this page are from around our house (front and back yard during the leaf(ing) season)
The Quarry in Winter
by shrimp56
Two former stone quarries flank the west branch of the DuPage River as it runs through Naperville. One has been developed into Centennial Beach. The other forms a small lake, which in better weather is where you can rent paddleboats. In this winter-time photo you can see the empty docks.

**NOW CLOSED**
This cafe is tucked behind the row of shops that make up Main Street Promenade. You walk back through a passageway and turn left. The food is sandwiches, salads and soups -- all very fresh. I had the raspberry turkey sandwich pictured.

Naperville
by Dabs
Naperville is a western suburb of Chicago, about 25 miles outside the city. We've headed out this way several times for various things, once to have dinner with a friend, another time to see a concert at Ribfest; in 2009 we headed out there twice, once to see a concert at Naper Days and the 2nd time to do the Naperdink Triathlon.
If you are looking for information on Naperville, who better to check with than someone who lives there. Pop by Riorich55's page, he'll be able to answer your questions about his hometown!
