Comfortable, Convenient Location
This hotel (more like a motel--the doors open to the outside) is a good place to stay if you're in town to visit. It's not really nice, but it's comfortable, and very convenient. The staff are helpful and friendly enough. Sometimes we need to ask for new batteries for the TV remote, but they're always willing to swap remotes or swap rooms. The Red Roof Inn is a good location to stay. My parents usually stay here when visiting me at school (Bradley University), because it is right by University Street, which takes you directly to Bradley, as well as other shopping and restaurants. It's also on War Memorial, with Northwoods Mall close by.
Tip 1: Make sure you ask for a room on the side that is not facing the highway. The sound of the cars can be loud at night.
Tip 2: You might have to ask about it, but you get a 10% discount on meals at Perkins while you stay at the Red Roof Inn--you just have to show them your room key. Perkins is next door, along with Cheddar's.
