“Great Place to stay in Rockford”
This hotel is very clean and well maintained. I was thrilled with the comfort and cleanliness of this property. The check inn was fast and quick. The Staff is Friendly and takes Pride in providing Excellent Service. The location is great. There are Restaurants and Shopping in walking distance. The rooms were Clean and Spacious. The hotel has Large Heated Indoor Pool which I have enjoyed allot. The Bed was comfortable. Room was lovely, roomy, and spotless with all the amenities: Micro/Fridge, Coffeemaker, Hair Dryer, Clock radio, Voice mail. The Hotel has Spa, Game Room, Saunas, Wireless Internet, and Restaurant On site; all were very accommodating as well. I recommend this hotel to every one.
Unique Quality: Howard Johnson Hotel - Rockford provides an arcade/game room, conference/meeting rooms, complimentary newspapers in the lobby, and banquet facilities.

The Van Galder Bus runs about every 2 hours from their Walton Street station. You can also be picked up at several hotels in the area and the Clock Tower. Van Galder runs buses to O'Hare, Downtown and Midway. It costs around $15 one-way, which these days is cheaper than gas!
