YUP....that's right. It was the "Rockford Peaches" that was the woman baseball team in "A League of Our Own" with Tom Hanks, Gina Davis, and Rosie O'Donnell.
Rockford was a hotbed for baseball, and when all the men folk were away at war, the women played ball.
