Various: Airport hotels
Many of the major chain hotels have locations on River Road in Rosemont, Marriott, Westin, Crowne Plaza, Doubletree, Holiday Inn, Embassy Suites. I imagine most, if not all of these hotels have free shuttles from O'Hare airport and all are about 5-10 minutes away. there are a few others on Mannheim, Touhy and Bryn Mawr, all are just a short distance from the airport.
If Chicago hotel rates are high, the hotels out at O'Hare/Rosemont are about 45 minutes away via el (subway) and can usually be had at much more reasonable rates.

Marriott - Residence Inn O'Hare: Close to O'Hare
Another big name hotel, so you should already know what you are getting in the way of ammenities. The beds are comfortable, the rooms are clean and the staff is generally helpful and polite.
The hotel is convienient to O'Hare for buisiness travellers who are in/out of O'Hare.
Unique Quality: Free Wi-Fi. Breakfast can be included if you set your reservation correctly in advance.
