Albuquerque, NM to Urbana, IL
I take this trip frequently because I have family in Illinois. The scenery is not very good once you get out of the canyon east of Albuquerque, but it's always worth it..
Here's a view of the Sandia Mountains, on the east side of Albuquerque. This trip begins by going through these mountains via Tijeras Canyon.
Once you get out on the the eastern plains of New Mexico and the Texas Panhandle, the weather can get somewhat unpredictable. From here on east through Oklahoma, Missouri, and Illinois, there isn't any interesting scenery at all.
It's always great to arrive in Illinois, where I can spend time with my family, and occasionally remind my self of what real winter is like :)

Some of their tasty food.
