The Wheaton Inn: Beautiful, but ... AND NOW CLOSED
The Wheaton Inn is a beautiful place with most of the amenities that visitors to a high-end b&b/inn expect. The one thing missing was any sense of "soul" or personality.

When I called to make a reservation a while back I got a very snippy woman who told me that the hotel was closed.
Many rooms have gas fireplaces with are delightful on a cold winter night! They also have an excellent breakfast [included] plus wine & cheese in the later afternoon and cookies & milk before bedtime.
