Marker Text: Courthouse square, part of original 1825 plat, surrounded by nineteenth and early twentieth century commercial buildings in various architectural styles. Limestone facing quarried and milled by local industry. Listed in National Register of Historic Places 1995.

Credit Line: Erected 1998 Indiana Historical Bureau and Historic Preservation Committee of Bedford Revitalization, Inc.
Directions: 1st between 15th & 16th Streets, east side of Lawrence County Courthouse square at sidewalk, Bedford.
