***WATCH OUT FOR EMPLOYEE THEFT***
We have stayed at many HI Express facilities over the years. At this location in Bloomington, my daughter left her purse which contained many valuable items, a pair of shorts and Nike shoes in the dresser drawer of the room. I immediately contacted the management and they informed me that housekeeping always cleans the drawers out immediately after guests check out. The non-english speaking hispanic housekeeper claimed there wasn't anything found in the drawers. We know for a fact that she stole the items as no one else had been in the room and the items were definitely there when we left. The hotel will not investigate the incident and claims they are not responsible for in-house theft. Guests cannot afford to stay at locations that are not honest and forthright.

Nice spacious suites
Excellent hotel with a breakfast buffet and happy hour snacks. The pillow top beds kept me in bed for far too long....

I have seen the rooms with visiting family. Great large rooms, very nicely decorated.
Unique Quality: I believe this is typical for Holiday Inn Express but this one is more upscale than some I have seen. Rates will depend on time of year. When students are moving to the University or during graduation, rates in this town are very high. As I write this, the hotel gets $169 to $189 a night but other times it is listed at $130 and negotiable.
