The annual Little 500 Bicycle Race is a fast-paced event made famous by the hit movie ÒBreaking AwayÓ starring Dennis Quaid in 1979. 1999 marks the 20th anniversary of the movie and there will be many fun events to celebrate the occasion. This competitive event features some of Indiana University's best student cyclists and is held at the Bill Armstrong Stadium on the IU campus. 1999 marks the 49th year of the race which has become known as the premier intramural collegiate cycling event in the nation. Besides the running of the men's and women's races, there are other weekend events held. These include a Mini 500 Trike Race, where participants race on big tricycles, a Golf Jamboree, concerts and more. The event raises money for student scholarships.

Getting My Money's Worth In Bloomington

"The College Town of my Two Oldest Sons"
Between 1997 and 2007 we spent many days and nights in Bloomington as my 2 oldest sons both attended school here. Unfortunately I wasn't a member of VT then to record all the images and thoughts, but as I go through some old pictures and memories I will share with all the VTers and guest out there my impressions of Bloomington.
I recently spent a few days on a business trip to the area, so I thought I would start with at least a home page and a restaurant review.
