The Cummins Engine Company
The Cummins Engine Company is one of the main reasons why Columbus is more than an ordinary small town. They've been based in Columbus for almost a century, and have long been known as a supplier of the most advanced and efficient combustion engines to public and private industrial concerns around the world. Their corporate offices in Columbus were designed by Kevin Roche's firm in the early 1980s. If in part the gardens are reminiscent of a Renaissance Palace, that's probably no accident.
Inside the Corporate HQ are several displays about the company's history, as well as this modern scupture of Rudolph de Harak. It's called "Exploded Engine."
