Fishers
"Town Hall"
When I moved to Fishers in 1968 there was a population of 620. In 2005 the population of Fishers topped 57,000.
"Mud Socks"
Fishers was founded in 1872 as a railroad community by Salathiel Fisher. It was also known as Mud Sock because of how muddy it became after a big rain.
Obviously the whole mud socks thing is just another rural legend.
"A place to live"
Fishers was ranked the 24th best place to live in America by CNN Money magazine in 2005, and 33rd in 2006.
