Staying for the Free Night
I stayed here one night on my first week in a nearby town on business and will stay here a 2nd night the following week. I'm usually a Marriott's person, but the hotels in this economy are vying for business and since the Best Western chain is offering a free night with 2 separate stays and I'm hoping to use that night in California in October this was a logical decision.
The hotel is a little older then some, but not so old that things are falling apart. They haven't gone to a none smoking policy, but that kind of makes sense since the hotel is off the major interstate that runs through Northern Indiana and from the number of trucks in the parking lot gets a lot of truckers spending the night.
The rooms are fairly large, with a regular size TV and ok beds. There is a desk and a good size bathroom as well. The nozzles in the bathtub/shower and the older type where the hot water turns one way on and the cold the other so be careful (I turned the hot water the wrong way - ouch). A good "green environment" thing they do is have the shampoo and shower gel in containers on the wall in the tub/shower. That way I don't have to open up the one packet of soap they have at the sink. A lot of those soaps at less expensive hotel chains leave the skin very dry, so I was happy with the shower gel.
They have an onsite restaurant and bar along with a small exercise workout area and nice outdoor pool. I didn't use any of these during my stay.
