Indianapolis is a Sport's City For Sure
Indianapolis is for sure a sportsminded city. Most everyone knows about the Indianapolis Speedway for racing enthusists; many people know about the Indiana Pacers Men's Professional Basketball Team and the Indianapolis Colts Professional Football Team; some people know about the Indianapolis Indians baseball team; but, how many people know that Indianapolis is home to the RCA Tennis Championships?
While we were in town, the Final Four for the Women's College Basketball Finals were going on. People from all over the United States were in the city to see those games. At the same time, there were qualifications for swimmers where records were broken (at least that's what we heard from visitors).
I don't know if people know about the NCAA Hall of Champions which is located along the Canal Walk. We did not go into the building, but I did take the picture. There were many people "checking it out".
I also took the picture of a jogger using the walking path; it's a great place and way to stay in shape.
Yes, Indianapolis is a great city for architecture, history, art, theater, and yes, SPORTS If you want to walk or run along the Canal Walk, bring your running/walking shoes. Otherwise, if you want to be a spectator for one of the many fine sporting events, just bring yourself, your sense of "fair play", and a smile.
