Travel Tips for Jasper

JASPER INDIANA USA AMERICA

"Countryside Sights Near My Home"

This medium small town is only some few miles up the road from my childhood hometown of Louisville, Ky. Home of the World-Renouned Horse Race known as The Kentucky Derby! Each April untill May festivities are celebrated daily with firework displays over the Ohio River which runs between the states of Kentucky & Indiana. My countryside apartment is very cozy & private and also nestled near one of Our Great National Forests. Meadows & Hills with winding roads make for a pleasing drive in any direction here. The people here are always full of friendly charm & conversation & are as neighborly & warm as any you will ever find on earth. A busy train track thru town serves to make this quiet little town retain some modern character. Its reasurring to hear the whistle blow and the sound of the train as it swifty races along to its destination at all hours of the day & night.

Jasper, Indiana is a Magnificient family-oriented town that retains the old-fashioned respect & dignity so many of us grew up with long ago and seen disappeared in many of our cities over time.
Miles of nearby unspoiled forest & nature make this a Treasure you can hardly believe but is a Reality!

"The Forest & Sky Is Home To Our Creatures"

From Interstate 64 East to Evansville, Indiana from Louisville,Ky. you can choose EXIT 72 Birdseye then drive North and enjoy the thrill of what it feels like to enter thru a real forest area lined with many pristine trees and home to furry wildlife creatures galore! such as Deer, Racoons, Rabbits, Groundhogs, etc. Deer can dominate the landscape on this road, but you must come thru early before daybreak to see them out in the open or even crossing the road in front of you. Beautiful sight of nature at its best in the woods.

"Now On To Jasper"

Jasper is the town which is the County Seat of Government of Dubois County, Indiana. Here is your major shopping stores & markets. Traffic moves slow and freely here, and stores line each side of the highway road as you go thru town.People bustle about as though they were in the big city, but this is a medium sized town, and full of shops of many types. It is fun and relaxing to park and just stroll from one store to another. Friendly smiles & conversations abound nonstop. It is a truly wonderful change from life as compared to a big populus city.
