Roseland's "Romantic" Budget Themed Boutique Motel

Reminisent of a poor man's trip to "Ye Olde Tudor Inn" on the outside, Knights Inn is one of those "Themed Motels" circa 1984.
Past that.. Never know what theme you might encounter in the rooms, usually fairly neat and clean but occasionally anything from broken toilets, to Ropes tied to the legs on the bed, reminisent of "ye olde dungeon and torture chamber".
Obviously this is a very eclectic lodging spot. Perhaps even a little "Romantic" ?
But hey, its all about atmosphere.. RIGHT?
Just think how much that trip to Amsterdam would cost, and who has time?

Look no further for that "exotic" over"Knight" or weekend getaway just a few miles from home.

No, its not St. Mary's Inn.. But its also not $150- $200 a night. And a lot more ""unique "

To me Romance should be a little adventurous.. A little Risque, maybe even a little kinky.
If you are looking for a place to hang out and party a little after a "Romanitc Evening in Roseland" This is THE Place. During the non ND season you can usualy get a room for under $50.
Price, Location and "Atmosphere" In typically over priced SB thats a DEAL.

Unique Quality: Standard rooms are quite STANDARD there are "whirlpool" rooms ( Ive never tried one) and there is a pool, all set up in a mini courtyard style..

I place it one step up in price from Motel 6 and one step up in STYLE from Ho Jo's (Which is the LAST RESORT) Definalty a very interting "amoshpere".. sort of like traveling to another world far away from the usual sterile SB "Kitsh". Sometimes IT's campy to get a little sleezy... for a Romanitc evening.

Want to explore and check out the "local Flavor" ?? If nothing else.. Its got a convenient and friendly Belmont Liquor Store (full of a wide variety of BEERS) DIRECTLY adjacent, a Taco Bell across the street, a Gyro King, Gippers Lounge and Sushi bar, Amercan Pancake, and even Micado within reasonable walking distance to the north , "Cheers" and Pizza King not to far to the South. Theres even Roseland's quaint parks, and what trip would be complete with out a quick drive by "famous" Dave and Dorthy Snyder's residence

The rooms are a little worn, sure its a little seedy. BUT, SO is Amsterdam, and thats what I was looking for in a unique budget romantic get away.

The staff, freindly at times, can be difficult at other times (hey who can blame them), so make sure that you are happy with your room BEFORE you lay any money down.

IF you want to party and hang out you might even get to meet some other "adventurers" while there for some lively conversations, afterwards relax, grab a snooze.. it's a good thing..

If you are expecting The Marriott, or Comfort Suites, for 50 bucks forget it. (Hey, atleast its NOT Howard Johnson's.)
And buy your sweetie something nice , like a car, with the money you saved, or save up for that trip to Amsterdam next year.

  • Opinion of Price: less expensive than average
