Not A Welcome Atmosphere!
Arrived here and was greeted rather coldly and impersonally by the desk staff. Asked for a ground floor room as my wife is handicapped. Was told I could have the room especially setup for disabled access. Paid the highest rate I have ever paid at a Super 8. Room was disappointing i the extreme: one towel one bar of soap one tiny bottle of shampoo. The handicapped access bathroom floor was slick as glass with no bath mat to help traction the drain was broken and open with the drain guard laying out on the floor to trip on or cut one's foot on. No fridge or microwave oven in the room. This room had the feel of being stripped out. Not the value expected of Super 8. This experience was the last straw with Super 8 and caused us to switch to Comfort Inns exclusively which seem to have a much better concept of service and value! Super 8 has obviously "jumped the shark" and this one in South Bend sucks big time!
