There are some places in Terre Haute that are still cash-only, no credit-cards accepted. It's typically the really local places that serve great food... so if you plan to wander off the beaten path, make sure you have cash on hand.

I have spent quite a few months in Terre Haute visiting my family. It is a small town and everyone seems to know each other one way or the other. It is a beautiful place to raise your kids since its so peaceful here and the cost of living is just right.

I was able to go to Terre Haute again so am adding more

last August I had a fun and lazy afternoon seeing historic buildings, and then sipping a great cold beer inside one of those at M. Moggers (see restaurants - below). This time I visited the Brew Pub right next to Moggers!
