Lonely little Goodland is the last gasp of Kansas as you head west for Colorado on I-70. Or, it's your first oasis as you come into Kansas from Colorado. Either way you look at it, Goodland is one of those many small towns orphaned by the Interstate.

The town's official website says Goodland is "conveniently located 17 miles from the Colorado border." Convenient for what, exactly, is unclear.

Last I checked, the most recent photograph of the town available on their website was taken in 1958.
