Great Time Great Wolf Lodge Kansas City Ks.

Great Wolf Lodge Kansas City Ks. We had a great time? We stayed the evening of January 6th. It was not very crowded, so there was no waiting in lines anywhere. We would have liked it, however, if the hottub would have been a little warmer. The staff was helpful and friendly. We ate at Famous Daves across the street from the hotel. It was delicious. With the special they were running we felt the price was great. We had the Hawaiian nights package. We will be back!
Good but the room was too pricey

We went over Christmas break. It was fine, but pretty pricey I thought.
The Nintendo didn't work, but we were transferred to another room where it worked. We had to pack everything up.....Things are starting to spring up out there. We were looking for a Catholic church. The staff did not know of one around. We checked and there was one a block away.
We told the pastor, he said they have put numerous flyers out there and was quite surprised they didn't use them. I guess they have spent money advertising, but the staff doesn't even know them and they are a block away? Not good business practices by the Great Wolf!!
WONDERFUL!

We stayed at the Great Wolf Lodge 1/24-1/25/04. Check in time is 4pm.
We finished at Cabellas early and ended up at the hotel around 2pm. We waited in line 15 minutes and got a room right away. We stayed in the Kids Cabin. It has a separate area with bunkbeds, another twin bed and a tv built into a log cabin area. My husband and I loved the privacy.
The kids enjoyed having their own tv. The Nintendo games cost too much, so we didn't do that. But we were right down the hall from the arcade and had a great time there. The waterpark was unbelievable. The best part was not seeing the kids for hours...and not even feeling guilty about it! We were surprised to find they had activities almost every hour in the Cub Club room that our youngest enjoyed. We ordered pizza from room service. It was really good and not expensive. We brought our own drinks and snacks. We were told the hotel was booked that weekend, but it didn't seem all that crowded. Sometimes there was a wait to get on an elevator. And the bigger waterslides had longer lines during the afternoon. The best time to hit those is either in the morning or evening. The room was expensive, but when you consider the weekend of entertainment for the 5 of us, it was definitely worth it. We'll be back.
Great for Family and Great Waterpark

Wouldn't pay full price, but with the special it was great! We have 2 kids ages 7 and 4 and they loved it. Great activities for children, waterpark lots of fun for the whole family!!!! Next time would bring more snacks though and maybe donuts or something for breakfast as everything inside the lodge was expensive. Rooms were very nice and clean. Would go back during winter months at special prices!
hate it

In November it was my friends sweet 16. We ended up going to the great wolf lodge and it was not all as it is hyped up to be. Flat out it sucked!!!!! The water was nice if you were 10 but not for 6 teenage girls. The food that they offered is really over priced!!!!! The rooms arent that great and pretty small for what you are paying for them. Being from Kansas City, i can say that there is no difference between that water park in Oceans of Fun or at the Great Wolf Lodge. The only plus to that whole evening was that we knew some of the people that worked there!!!
Great time!!

Wow! We had an early spring break and the weather was awful, so the indoor water park was fabulous. I have two older children and they loved the park. The restaurant was cool although a bit pricey. It was nice to be able to relax in the room and enjoy the fireplace while the kids were at the water park or arcade and not have to worry about their safety. We also enjoyed Famous Daves BBQ across the road and the food and staff was great. We'll be back and we'll tell everyone about the great time we had. All those nightmares about long check in lines, slow elevators etc. were not experienced by this satisfied family. An expensive place to stay but well worth it!!!
Little value, some fun

The rooms are small, the price is outrageous for what you get. There is no water pressure in the bathrooms. The water park is mediocre compared to other water parks in area. The food is overpriced and blah. The Wi-fi is in and out all the time. Wait until you can get a internet discount well under $200 to make it close to attractive for a family with lots of little children. Winter is the only time to go, as Oceans of Fun is a much better water park in Kansas City.
very disapointed!

We checked this hotel out here & saw where they had the family package priced at $129. We thought great! However, when we called to make reservations, they told us that package was "sold out". Their ad said the package price of 129 dollars was good until sometime in May, & this was the first part of March. But all we got was "sorry, its sold out, the price is $259.00 Fine, we'll use that money to have a good time somewhere else in KC
Expensive-long wait

Room was dirty. Slow check in not till 4:00 little time for water park checkout too early 11:00. Lockers too small and cost $ every time needed in them. Few towels, expensive food. Beds hard, made badly, no view. Did not get internet rate thought we had-linited rooms?
$389.00!!!!!! with a coupon that was for $125 but only gave me $75 off-limited # of rooms for coupon. Loud waterpark, kids unsupervised, cuts in lines often. Too much $$$ for what we got.
Great Time for a family of 5

We took advantage of the KC getaway for $129.00, over Spring Break. We arrived about 1:00, the check-in lines were moving quickly and we only waited about 10 minutes. Our room was available and we were very pleased. We stayed in a family suite, which was ideal for our family of 5. The room was very clean and with the refrigerator and microwave, we were set. (We brought our own breakfast) The waterpark was fantastic, lots to do and enjoyable for all ages. The lifeguards were very professional and helpful. We ate at Famous Dave's across the street, very good food at a great price. I think the Great Wolf Lodge was a nice place to stay and the waterpark was fantastic, at $129.00 for two days of fun, you can't beat it for a family of five.
