Cheap digs
Normally, Super 8 motels can be found in some questionable areas of towns, but since there are none of these in Lawrence (except for a small part of E. Lawrence), this motel becomes a real steal. Nice tidy rooms.

Since I live here, I have...
Since I live here, I have never stayed at any of the local hotels or motels, but the Eldridge Hotel in downtown Lawrence would be my choice if I were visiting or finding a place for visitors to stay. There is a new Springhill Suites that has the best indoor view of the Kansas River you can find in town. There is also the usual variety of chain motels clustered on the northeast edge of campus.
