Johnson County Old Settlers Reunion
The Old Settlers Reunion has been a custom since 1898, but of course the "old settlers" have been dead and buried for decades. However, it has become a popular festival with a parade, carnival, numerous booths selling arts and crafts (and junk), musical entertainment, a classic auto show etc. It takes place each September on the Thursday thru Saturday after Labor Day. Olathe's entire downtown is blocked off for the event.
