Super 8: Hotel right off I-35 and Highway 59
Super 8 hotels have always been known for their dollar value, but in a town as small as Ottawa, it really pays off since there are no bad parts of town.

In 1982 I went to a wedding in...
In 1982 I went to a wedding in Ottawa. The groom, best man, one other fellow and I all shared a hotel room in Ottawa. The groom made a champagne toast in the room then tossed the glass into the sink. For some reason the sink cracked and broke open. The groom checked out without mentioning the sink to the manager. The groom's father checked in to the hotel later that day. He happened to have same exact name as his son. The father got a surprise bill for the sink.
