Christian Coffee House
A favorite gathering spot for coffee and conversation, and not just for Christians gathering for Bible studies. I understand that Homer's is owned by the Christian Business Men's Committee. But - please understand that no one will preach to you or try to convert you, they're just here to give you a pleasant place to hang out.
Bright and cheery atmosphere with wholesome looking young people serving you - no nose rings or head to toe tattoos here. Jazz playing on a nice sound system. Better yet, there are some stellar music groups playing on Friday and Saturday nights. Check their web site for schedule. My favorite is Second Mile - a talented band made up of some close friends.
Great looking pastries in the counters made me wish I weren't on a low-carb diet. The coffee is excellent. Selection of specialty soft drinks available. I go for the coffee breve or the mocha breve. Rich, full flavor, but not bitter. Bigger servings than you get elsewhere for the same amount of money.
