I have not done or seen every...

I have not done or seen every thing in Wichita I'd like to yet. There are concerts there and I saw a good play once in Wichita. Some of the area attractions I have yet to visit are the Kansas Firefighters Museum, Lowell D. Holmes Museum of Anthropology, National Baseball Congress Hall of Fame, Kansas African American Museum, Great Plains Transportation Museum, Joyland Amusement Park, and Kansas Aviation Museum. Photo is the Kansas African American Museum that I visited one day while it was closed.
The Warren

The Warren is one of the newest movie theaters in Wichita. It is the biggest theater that I have ever seen (and that's saying something, because I make a point to see a movie in every town I visit).
The Warren is in the middle of nowhere- at least it was when I was there in 2002.
There is a restaurant in the theater (balcony level), a restaurant in the lobby and the most comfortable theater seats I have ever sat in.
You have more leg room than I ever thought possible- you don't even have to 'scoot by' when walking through the rows.
It has been done in the old vintage style of theaters- definitely a treat to the eye.
And ladies, try not to get lost in the bathrooms. They're huge for a theater!!

Do yourself a favor and don't bother. If you want something in Kansas, I recommend Lawrence, in the North -- a funky, cool college town that was the final home of Willam S. Burroughs. Very bohemian, man.
