The Indian Center has a nice museum in it. The museum is not huge but it is a good one. They have a souvenir shop there. You can't miss the building because it has a big totem pole out front. It is along the river near Cow Town and Botanica. The giant Keeper Of The Plains statue I used in my first photo is there.
Yia Yia's
by AcornMan about Yia Yia's
For overpriced food served in a pretentious and impersonal atmosphere look no further than Yia Yia's, a restaurant located in northwest Wichita that's popular with the area's well-to-do professional crowd. My judgment is that most people go to Yia Yia's so they can be seen there and so they can feel good about spending a lot of money on a meal. If the food were that good it might be worth it, but unfortunately the food is nothing special. Wichita has an almost endless list of excellent places to eat, so there's no need to waste your time here.
WICHITA STATE UNIVERSITY

"SHOCKER BASEBALL"
The Wichita State University "Shockers" have made it to the College World Series in Omaha, Nebraska, three times in the 1980's, four times in the 1990's, and they won the national championship in 1989.
"A GREAT COLLEGE BASEBALL FACILITY"
This is one of the finest college baseball stadiums in the country, and the pride of WSU baseball is apparent as you enter the gates.
"BASKETBALL & FOOTBALL FACILITIES"
The basketball facility, in the foreground, holds about 10,500 people. The football stadium is in the background. Both are first-rate division 1 athletic facilities. However, Wichita State has no football team to play in that nice stadium. The school dropped football some years ago.
