Big Skies
The History Museum is very nice. It is in a fine looking building across Main street from Century II. The reproduction of a pharmacy inside has great looking wood work. I saw a display of antique toys like my father collects there also.
It's kind of difficult to categorize Red Mesa Grill. On one hand the menu looks Mexican, but it also features some Tex-Mex flavors. I suppose the best way to describe it is to say it serves "Southwest" food. Red Mesa's menu is anything but ordinary, with unique flavors and sauces accompanying even the simplest dishes. I've never had a meal there that I didn't enjoy. It is a bit on the expensive side, but well worth the money. The corn ancho bisque is to die for.
I've lived in Wichita my entire life. Untill this year I had never been more than one state away from Kansas other than Texas. I'm learning that traveling to see other places is an adventure that I have been missing out on and my girlfriend Steph has helped me to see that.
