Wichita Tip

A bit of huddling and cuddling and very, very slowly down the steep steps! I have to say though, that when we were going down, it was nice and cool, 'cause outside was a scorching 91F!Mind you I don't know which was worse, going down, or coming up. I was glad to be on level ground again though. See how I'm gripping the hand-rail for dear life and my family protecting me?
Mexican in the Mid-West
by grayfo about Monterrey Mexican Restaurant
The menu has a full range of a la carte and build-a-plate offerings, for the Mexican food lover there is a great choice, be it chile verde, enchiladas supremas, veggie burritos, tacos, or creative fajitas. The night I went (a Monday), the restaurant was very busy but I still found the service friendly and I was accommodated with a cheese free version of an existing meal.

As beautiful in winter as it is during the warm and hot summer months, the botanical park features seasonal exhibits, themed gardens, and wooded walkways. View the living plant wall in Sally Stone's Sensory Garden, garden on the rocks, or view thousands of butterflies in free flight in the Butterfly House. Themed areas include the formal Shakespeare Garden and the Rose and Wildflower Garden. Native and non-native plants and flowers are featured. A very peaceful place to go for hours.
