Omnisphere and Science Center has hands on science exhibits and a planetarium. It is mostly a place for kids but I'll have to admit I had fun there and got my self some neat toys at their shop. It is located next door to the Historical Museum at 220 S. Main Street. It is another of the places in Wichita that is closed on Mondays.

Emersen Biggins is a sports bar conveniently located close to Century II and to Old Town. Appetizers are good there and so are the sandwiches. They will serve you generous portions and you should get full.
Wichita
by jayhawk2000
Wichita is the largest city in Kansas.
Folks gotta live somewheres!
It's not going to win any beauty pageants, not when compared to other big cities in the region. Kansas City has parks and boulevards and more fountains than Rome. Tulsa is Art Deco capital of mid America.
But Wichita...well, I guess I do prefer it to Omaha and Topeka.
And it is a real, living, breathing, working city...unlike the Kansas City suburbs.
There's lots of history here, though, plus some interesting architecture and a slew of museums.
