The Great Plains Nature Center...

The Great Plains Nature Center is Great! It just opened in September of 2000 so it is still pretty new. I just went there for the first time this last weekend. There is a giant aquarium with catfish and bass in it. Lots of things for children there also. Kids can see how it feels to touch a coyote's fur or a deer's antler. They can push a button to hear different sounds from different animals. It is a nice place. The Great Plains Nature Center is located at 29th and Woodlawn. Woodlawn is a north and south running street that intersects with Kellog and Douglas.

Italian Garden

Italian Garden is a locally owned restaurant that serves very good Italian food in a casual but aesthetically attractive environment. This is definitely one of the better Itialian places in town, and has two locations to serve both sides of Wichita. I've enjoyed everything I've eaten here, so there's no need to avoid certain items on the menu.

"Pack Plenty of Latex"

While in old town, you'll be up against some of the most heinous cases of social ills that you'll ever come across. Be sure to pack plenty of latex, and watch your alcohol consumption! If you'll be going with friends, choose a designated whale watcher to avoid sinking your ship in something that you can't get out of!
