Off the beaten path advice

by milaminut

I'd love advice on "different" dining / activities / lodging in Bowling Green.
I'm coming this weekend for a day or two, and I'd love some info on what to do/where to stay that is "off the beaten path" ... casual, unique and interesting ... Thanks !! karen

Well...if you want something different, you might want to checkout thew Corvette Museum and take the Corvette Factory tour. I think the fee for the tour is $5 a person now, but if you want to see how America's only true sports car is made, it is well worth it.

Travel Tips for Bowling Green

Bowling Green, KY....My Home Sweet Home

by Ali-Kat

"Western Kentucky University"

"The Local Sights"

"Dining in Bowling Green"

Bowling Green has plenty of local restaurants to enjoy! Some may be easier to find than others, but don't let that discourage you.

General cuisine (American/steakhouse)
Rafferty's Restaurant & Bar or Montana Grille...located on the "main drag" at Scottsville Road...these are hometown favorites. Casual dining.

Downtown BG/Fountain Square Park
440 Main...casual to fine-dining...several Cajun-style offerings...great bar!
Verdi's...smaller restaurant...casual to fine-dining....love the atmosphere.
The Cellar...fine-dining.

Chestnut Street
Brickyard Cafe...pastas, seafood, Mediterranean-style...probably my favorite "nice" BG restaurant. Good food, great atmosphere...but still has a casualness about it.

Mexican...Puerto Vallarta is my favorite!

Chinese...Happy Inn is the local college dive! By far my favorite Chinese food, living in the dorms, we ordered it 3-4 times a week.
