The Sleep Inn is one of the newer hotels in Cave City, and it is worth every penny to stay here, because you can tell. The lobby is beautiful, and check in was a breeze - folks are very friendly here. We got up to the room and saw a freshly painted, very relaxing room. Because it is a Sleep Inn, I expected the rooms to be on the smaller side, but that was not the case. All rooms have a microwave and fridge, and we also got the requisite large scree flat panel TV :) The pool was on the small side, but that doesn't kill the enjoyment of the little ones, and the water was really nice and relaxing. Breakfast is still your standard continental fare - pastries and waffles, but that's what you should expect in the Choice Hotels chain. Overall, this was a great stay - easily the nicest Sleep Inn I have ever been at.
Wonderful campground, and always has great things for the kids to do.
Movies every nite, crafts every morning with swimming, mini golf, large water slides, and fishing to keep you busy. The wireless internet was down for the first 2 days we were there, so had to goto lounge area to get needed information on caves and zoo's we wanted to visit, but as kids were in pool right outside this was not an issue.
The fun includes a planned activities program, 300' waterslide and pool, hey-hey-hey rides with Yogi & friends, huge bonfires and much more.
:I know this one is a little odd, but really, it's a great experience. You sleep in a "wig-wam". These rooms are air conditioned, have indoor plumbing, coffe pots and cable TV! They are really quite nice and are furnished in beautiful rustic themes. The only problem we had was that someone blew a fuse and the power went out for a few minutes. The best part is that the other guests chat outside the wig-wams (instead of staying out of sight like at most motels/hotels).There is a playground for the kiddies as well as a "misting deck" for the kiddies and the grown ups.
IT'S A WIG-WAM!!!!
