Falls Creek Cabins and Campground: Sheltowee Trace Outfitters

The Cumberland Falls campground required a minimum 2 night stay, so we went here instead. Its very basic, but since all we needed was a place to sleep after seeing Cumberland Falls, it worked great. The staff was very friendly, bathrooms were clean.

Unique Quality: There are many outdoor packages they offer and a mix of campsites and cabins. We just didn't take advantage of any of them.

Dupont Lodge: Cumberland Falls Resort

Set back in the hills of Kentucky, the Cumberland River creates a world of hollers and ridges. There are hidden treasures around each bend.

Unique Quality: The historic architecture combined with the quiet of the river valley.

DuPont Lodge: One of Kentucky's Hidden Jewels

Solid hemlock beams and knotty pine paneling compliment the massive stone fireplaces in historic Dupont Lodge, built by the Civilian Conservation Corps in the 1930s. The lodge is operated by the state of Kentucky. There are 52 nicely appointed rooms, many of which have a splendid view of the Cumberland River. Amenities included a restaurant, a museum, and conference rooms which can accomodate up to 300 guests. Special activities are provided throughout the year. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay here on a January week-end, and because it was the slow season rates were very low. Rates are actually quite reasonable even in summer.
